Today we’re going to work on describing shapes using contour lines. Take a look at the drawing of a hand holding a ball below. Notice how the contour lines that wrap around the shapes of the hand and ball help us see it’s shape?
You’re going to attempt the same today. First you’ll try to replicate the figure in the image below using contour lines. If you’d like to see an example, go look at the display board in the back of the room for Mr. Cole’s version. You drawing should take up a full page in your sketchbook.
Once you’ve complete the image above start on your drawing of the figure below.
